Ray Blades, 46, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Dalhart, TXA memorial service was held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Lincoln St. Baptist Church with Rusty Hancock, Pastor officiating.Ray Blades was born January 6, 1970 in Dalhart, TX to Terry and Patty (Newton) Blades. Ray was raised in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1990. He joined the US Navy and after his honorable discharge he married Mindy Frederick on May 22, 1993 in Eckley, CO. They lived in Colorado and Kansas before moving to Dalhart in 2010. Survivors include his wife Mindy Blades of Dalhart, his daughters Samantha and Jessica Blades of Dalhart, his step-mother Betty Blades of Dalhart, TX, brothers Jay and wife Trina Blades of Dalhart, TX and Shane Blades of Plainview, TX and a sister Jolonda Henley and husband Ron of Stinnett, TX.Preceded in death by his Parents , brothers Nathan and Kerry.
