On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, Randy lost his life due to a car accident at the age of 45. He was a loving and devoted husband to the love of his life, Kerri, whom he married on June 4, 2016 in Carmel, Maine. Together they became a blended family of 8, and he loved them all tremendously.
Randy was born on September 1, 1975 in Dumas, Texas. He graduated from Groom High School in 1993. He had many accomplishments and has always worked since he was a kid with various jobs, and he was employed for the last 19 years as a Locomotive Engineer at Union Pacific.
Randy is survived by his "Mainah" wife Kerri Anne (Hawes)Johnson of Dalhart who he loved hard and unconditionally, his three children with his ex-wife Krista Myers, one son Braxton and his girlfriend K'Leigh and their daughter Paisleigh, his two daughters Zadyn and Zyley of Oklahoma. He also loved his stepchildren as his own, Tyler and his wife Alex, and their three sons, Theo, Toby and Jasper of Australia, Tristan and his fiance Jazzy and their daughter Violet of Maine, Hunter, Meadow and Forrest of Dalhart. He truly loved them all, and all his grandbabies and was SO proud of all of them. He is also survived by his mother Peggy Elliott and her husband Darrell, his father Steve Johnson and his wife Sharon of Amarillo, his brother Dave Johnson of Amarillo, his step siblings Alison, Stephanie and Jeremy. His in-laws, Guy and Naomi Hawes of Maine, whom he also loved, and they loved him back. His two brothers in law, Aaron Hawes and his wife Michelle, and Arich Hawes and his wife Brenda, both from Maine. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruchelle and Stephanie. He also leaves many many friends, whom most he called family, especially his railroad buddies and coworkers, and truckers he has met and taken out to breakfast when they would roll into town and was looking forward to meeting more that he had formed connections with online but have yet to meet. He truly enjoyed all of you and your friendships.
Many of you knew Randy as my jackass, (our joke), and that's what he was. He was an amazing man, who loved hard, and had a beautiful soul and would help anyone that needed it. He didn't take any crap either, and always told the truth, tell it like it is, whether you liked it or not. He was fun, devoted, kind, funny and had the most amazing smile and laughter. He loved to sing, and sang so many songs, especially for me. He was also an amazing photographer. We always loved to go for drives, stop and take pictures. Of anything and everything. He loved everything, especially old buildings and windmills and sunrises and sunsets if he could catch them just right. Oh, and let's not forget his love of trucks and motorcycles and his hot wheels collection! He always had to go in the toy sections every time we went to the stores. Always had to pull in truck stops and take pictures of the trucks. He truly was the best. He will be so missed and is so loved. Forever and a day, you will always be mine. Thank you for being my person.
