Preston Henry Ralston, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. Services will be held Saturday, February 18th, at 10:00 am, St. James Anglican Church, Dalhart, Texas followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Overflow seating and a live stream will be at Hillside Christian Church, downtown. Preston will lay in state for viewing on Friday February 17 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Horizon Funeral Home. Arrangements held by Horizon Funeral Home in Dalhart, Texas. Preston was born July 23rd, 2007, in Amarillo, Texas to Sarah and Wes Ralston. He was raised in Dalhart, TX where he attended Dalhart High School and had a host of friends. Preston attended St. James Anglican Church and served as an acolyte and Lay Reader. Recently, he started attending Hillside youth. He was a member of Dallam County 4-H where he served as a Senior Delegate for the Leaders and Feeders club, enjoyed showing livestock, was a member of the shotgun team and participated in Livestock Judging. He also served on the Bi-County livestock show junior board. He was a member of Dalhart FFA where he served as District Sentinel and competed in numerous CDEs and LDEs. He was known for his thick curly hair and his mullet which he lost in a pig showing bet with his sister. Preston is preceded in death by his grandmother Marsha Snead, great-grandparents Claire and Ray Snead, Jane Ann and John Cunningham, Edith and Preston Smith, Reba and Bill Hunter and Orie Ralston and Uncles Toby and Johnathan Snead. He is survived by his parents Sarah and Wes Ralston, brother Parker Ralston and sister Payton Ralston. Grandparents Anita and Seth Ralston and Bud Snead. Aunts and Uncles Danna and MJ Shult, Rebecca and Cody Reep, Rachel and Craig Hunter and Jeff Lackie. Cousins Macy (Matt) and Jared Shult, Cooper and Allison Lackie, Riley and Randen Reep, Bentley and Jagger Hunter, Jack (Katiann) and Bryndal.
