Placida McKeegan, 78, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 in Amarillo, TX A Prayer Vigil was held at 7:30 pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas.The Funeral Service was held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Dalhart, Texas Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon FuneralHome - Dalhart, Texas. Placida Villanueva was born October 15, 1935 in Fort Stockton, TX to Juan and Leonora (Rivera) Villanueva. She grew up around Fort Stockton and moved to Dalhart in the mid 80s. Placida was a CNA at Coon Memorial for over 28yrs, and even did volunteer work at the Hospital after she retired. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She is survived by her - Daughters Carolyn Blanco, of Panhandle, TX, Silvia Delapaz of Amarillo, TX, Rita Steward of Canyon, TX, sons Johnny Samaniego, Lloyd Ray Samaniego, both of Dalhart, TX, and Joe Samaniego of Odessa, TX. and 1 sister Paula Marrufo, 38 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Paul McKeegan and Paul Samaniego, Sr. 2 sons: Paul Jr. and Matthew and 2 daughters: Susie Ramos and Joyce Pedrosa as well as 3 brothers.
