Peggy Harding Roberts, age 80, died on Thursday, March 30, 2006 in Dalhart, TXServices were held at 11:00 am Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Dalhart, Texas. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, TX Officiating was Dick Brooks Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Dalhart, TX Survivors iclude her husband- Dwayne L. Roberts a son David & his wife Pam Roberts of Dumas, TX 2 Daughters- Le (Letha) and her husband Rudy Rivas of Canyon, TX and Kathy Smith of Dalhart, TX Seven (7) Grandchildren - Kim and her husband Tommy Jones of Dalhart, TX Misty & her husband Rick Rueda of Canyon, TX John and his wife Monika Roberts of Hawkins, TX Heath & his wife Leigh Ann Smith of Dalhart, TX Martha & her husband Paul Spelman of Houston, TX Alex & his wife Jennifer Rivas of Antioch, TN and Becky & her husband Jim Arwine of Lacey, WA 7 Great-Grandchildren Kylie Jones, Zackery Jones of Dalhart, TX Calvin Rueda and Madilyn Rueda of Canyon, TX Flynn Smith and Clay Smith of Dalhart TX Rylan Roberts of Hawkins, TX Sister: Martha & her husband Dale Jones of Pringle, TX and Brother: John Harding of Cannon City, CO and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, great Nieces and great Nephews.Peggy Jean Harding was born November 6, 1925 in Byers, TX to E.P. and Eula Bea (Goble) Harding. She grew up in around Bowie, TX and graduated from Canyon High School in 1943 Peggy attended West Texas State College and on March 31, 1945 she married Dwayne Roberts in Clovis, NM. They lived in Ft. Chaffee, AR prior to moving to Dalhart. Peggy worked at the Dalhart Clinic for Dr. Cunningham for 25 years. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and Elder of the Presbyterian Womens Association, Peggy was also a member of the Busy Mrs. Club and loved to play 42 with the ladies 42 Club. She was also a member of the Twin Mirrors Camping Club and was camp host at columbine Park, Red River, NM for many years. Peggy loved the mountains and enjoyed fishing. Peggys family will always remember her as the Heart & Soul of our family & will be dearly missed, they also want to express a special Thank-You to the staff at Coon Memorial Nursing Home for their loving care of Peggy. Preceded in death by her Parents -2 sisters: Drennan Kiser and Jessie Harper and brother: Jerry Harding.
