Peggy Green died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at Lakeview United Methodist Church, pastor George Chambers officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.Peggy Joyce Hamilton was born February 25, 1927 in Dalhart Texas to William and Johnnie (Meler) Hamilton. She graduated from Dalhart High School and except for several years spent in Bangor, Maine during the war, she lived her whole life in the Dalhart area. On February 14, 1979 Peggy married Keith Green in Lihue, Hawaii. She owned and operated Peggy Green Career and Modeling Studio, where she taught numerous classes in modeling, comportment, and pageant preparatory. One of her greatest joys was helping young women realize their full potential. Peggy was an active member of the Amarillo Little Theater, a Patron of the Arts, Dalhart Petal Pushers, the Amarillo Club, Gamma Nu Omega Sorority, and the World Modeling Association. She was a long time member of Lakeview United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir.Survivors include her sons from an earlier marriage to Ralph Artz David and his wife Linda Artz of Amarillo, TX, Ken and his wife Kathy Artz of Newport Beach, CA, and Steven Artz of Houston, TX. One sister, Dot and her husband Keith Hayes of Wichita Falls, TX, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive her.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Lakeview United Methodist Church.
