Pauline Griffin, 83, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Stratford, TexasGraveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Memorial Park Cemetery - Dalhart, with arrangements under the care of Horizon Funeral Home.Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor Lincoln Street Baptist Church, of Dalhart.Ruth Pauline Sharp was born October 5, 1931 in Gatesville, TX to David and Effie (Dossey) Sharp. She was raised and attended schools in Sudan, TX. On December 19, 1949 she married Arville T. Griffin in Clovis, NM, he died in 1986. Pauline worked as a dispatcher from 1964 until 1974 in Dalhart, TX and then from 1974 until retiring in 1984 in Stratford, TX, She enjoyed being in the Bowling Leagues and was an Active member of the Elks Lodge. She is survived by her children- Earl Griffin and his wife Jill of Williams, AZ, Veneda Moore and Ava Griffin of Stratford, TX and Sherry Hammons and her husband Rob of Amarillo, TX. 9 Grandchildren Dara, Vance, David, Pam, Jason, Rebecca, Thomas, Chera and Matthew. 11 Great grandchildren Joseph, Brittany, Jaqui, Blake, Jordan, Tori, Ayla, Randy, Sara, Linkin, Kadan, Mason and Christian as well as numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter Linda Gaye, a great granddaughter Danielle, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.
