Paula Burnette Schmidt,33, died Monday, June 10, 2013 in Dalhart, TexasServices were held at 10:30 am CDT Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Texline Mennonite Church. Burial was in Texline Mennonite cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiants were Minister Gary Schmidt & Minister Matt Koehn of the Texline Mennonite Church. Paula Burnette Smith was born March 23, 1980 in Amory, Mississippi to Elwood and Kathy (Koehn) Smith. Paula moved from Mississippi to Texline with her parents at the age of nine. She enjoyed her schooling at Stateline Christian School, her youth years and working at Brad & Kathys Grocery. She then taught school for 2 years before marrying Justin Schmidt of this area. Her unexpected departure from this life leaves her husband Justin, son Colton age 8, and daughter Ana age 2. Survivors include her Husband: Justin Schmidt of Sedan, NM , son Colton Schmidt and daughter Ana Nicole Schmidt both of Sedan, NM.
