Paula Lopez Marruffo, 95, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. A graveside service was held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas with Father Lawrence John officiating. Paula (Lopez) Marruffo was born on Thursday, June 18, 1925 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Leonora (Rivera) and Juan Lopez. She grew up in Odessa and Ft. Stockton, Texas. She married Jesus S. Marruffo and raised her family in Friona, TX, then moved to Dalhart in 1965. Paula was a long time member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time sewing and quilting. Paula is survived by her children; Natalie Lucero and husband Jay, Betsy Aragon and husband Steve, Josie Lysford and husband Tim, and Basilio Marruffo and wife Debbie, her grandchildren; Brian, Karen, Brandi, Cassie, Terry, Tyler, Peyton, Charlie, Sheilia, Michael Garcia, Jacob and Amber and her 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus, a daughter, Cecelia, a granddaughter, Carol Lee and parents, Juan and Leonora Lopez.
