Johnny Paul Womble, 77, died Monday, January 18th, 2021 in Greenville, TX. Services were held January 26th, 2021 at 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1300 16th Street) in Dalhart, TX. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX. Officiated - Isaias Barron, President of the Dalhart Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Dalhart, TX. Johnny Paul Womble (everyone knew him as Paul) was born May 19th, 1943 in Dalhart, Texas to Arthur Frank and Ruby Mae (Giblin) Womble. Paul and Bonnie Sue Rash were married September 7th, 1969 in Stinnett, Texas. They were later sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 23rd, 1976. Bonnie died in 2006. He later married and was sealed to Brenda Sue Ash on August 10th, 2010 in the Dallas, Texas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Paul served in many lay positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including serving as the former President of the Dalhart Branch. Paul's vocation was as an accountant having received his education at West Texas State University (now WTAMU) in Canyon, Texas as well as during his service in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sue (Ash) Womble of Greenville, TX; his Son & Daughter in law: Jeff & Jeana Womble of Craig, CO; Grandchildren: Tim, Emily, Jessica, Natalie and Zack Womble of Craig, CO. Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Pat and his sister Frankie, his wife Bonnie and his niece Karen.
