Paul Douglas Bowen, age 82, died on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Paul Douglas Bowen was born on May 25, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond Paul Bowen and Agnes (Auither) Bowen. He served in the US Army during the Korean war. Paul worked as a mechanic for over 65 years and he worked for Paul Gore for many years. His interests included bowling, working on old cars and spending time with family. He enjoyed being with his grandkids, great-grandkids and his dog Pepper. Paul married Yvonne (Kaltz) Bowen on June 27, 1963 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2017. He traveled all over the country looking at and getting old cars to work on. Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartley, Texas. In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother; John Bowen and a sister; Judy Mudgridge.
SURVIVORS:
3 SONS: Russell Bowen and his wife Paula of Dalhart, Texas, Andrew Bowen and his wife Sherri of Perryton, Texas and Jeffrey Bowen and his wife Kim of Amarillo, Texas.
2 DAUGHTERS: Jennifer Peace and her husband Tim of Amarillo, Texas and Ann Boone and her husband Michael of Pace, Florida.
6 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren,
3 BROTHERS: Joe Bowen and his wife Nancy of Inlay City, Michigan, Raymond Bowen and his wife Patty of White Bluff, Tennessee and Robert Bowen and his wife Jean of Veedersburg, Indiana.
3 SISTERS: Betsy Swanson and her husband Bob of Lakeland, Florida, Mary Guerra of Roseville, Michiga and Brenda Doughtery and her husband Art of Veedersburg, Indiana.
And numerous nieces and nephews.
