Patsy Asbill, 73 died Monday, December 17, 2007 in Dalhart, Texas.Services were held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 20th, 2007 at Lakeview United Methodist Church. burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas.Pat was born July 30, 1934 in Dalhart to Harold and Frances Murdock. Her family moved to Coyote, New Mexico in 1937, then to Utah in 1942. These were the dust bowl days and Pats family moved looking for work, even though they hated every day being away from the panhandle.In 1944, the family returned and bought a farm in Felt, Oklahoma. Pat attended Felt Public School, and then furthered her education at a beauty school in Albuquerque during 1952. Pat worked as a beautician, telephone operator, and at the Dalhart hospital. Her last two years were spent in Coon Memorial Nursing Home.Pat was a member of the Dalhart readers club, as well as the 55 plus club. Pats passion was her cats, and they were all her babies.Pat was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Bill Murdock. She is survived by 4 nephews: Chuck Murdock and wife Margie from Boise City, Doug Murdock and wife Sheree from Felt, Scott Murdock and wife Eva from Felt, and Casey Murdock from Felt. Pat is also survived by sister-in-law, Ethel Murdock, as well as several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
