Nita "Kay Kay" Allison Gibbs, 76, of Amarillo, went to walk with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020. Services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2020 at First Baptist Church Chapel in Dalhart, TX. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Nita was born on January 16, 1944 to loving parents Ceceille and Francis Allison in Ballinger, TX. She was one of three girls. She graduated high school in Amistad, NM and later attended Eastern New Mexico University. Shortly after she married Sheldon Proctor and they lived on the Proctor Ranch in Channing, TX. In 1980 she married Leon Gibbs. They lived in Post, TX where she loved her job at La Posta Boutique. They moved back to the panhandle in 1990 where she was able to enjoy all of her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of any sport on TV and loved cheering on her grandchildren over the years playing sports, too. She loved listening to country music, especially Luke Bryan. She was a loving wife, mother and "Kay Kay" and expressed a lot of love in her heart for her family every chance she could. Kay Kay is preceded in death by her parents Ceceille and Francis Allison and her daughter Dana Proctor. Kay Kay is survived by her Husband Leon Gibbs of Amarillo TX; her two sisters; Barbara Koelzer of Wheeler TX and Lynda Koelzer of Dalhart TX; her four children, Tammie Ratliff and husband Toby of Bushland TX, Brian Gibbs and wife Candy of Bushland TX, Neal Gibbs and wife Jodi of Plano TX and Leslie Walthall and husband John of Stuttgart, Germany; her twelve grandchildren Tanner, Chay, Dakota, Toree, Jake, Madison, Taycen, Sydney, Samantha, Haleigh, Drew and Riley and her four great grandchildren. The family wishes a special thanks to her nurses Yvonne and Becky for all their loving care they provided.
