Nina Akin, 81, died on Monday, April 27, 2009 in Amarillo, TX. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am MDT Friday May 1, 2009 in House Public School Gymnasium. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.Survivors Include her husband: Jack Akin of McAllister, NM Sons: Brant Akin and his wife Christine of Dalhart, TX , Phillip Akin and his wife Terry of Bushland, TX. A daughter: Janina Akin and David Davila of Truth or Consequences, NM3 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildNina Barbara Head was born November 28, 1927 in House, NM to Clark W. and Meada (Warren) Head. Raised in the House community graduated from House public schools. On October 23, 1946 she married Jack Akin in House, New Mexico. Nina was a member of the Forest Baptist Church, the Quilting Club and the Good Sam Club in Tucumcari, NM. Nina enjoyed her grandchildren, family and visiting with friends. Her grandchildren will remember her wonderful Mac and Cheese.
