Nick Cooper, 76 of Dalhart, passed away on March 31, 2023. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Nick attended the Dalhart Nazarene Church and the XIT Cowboy Church. He played his guitar in the bands at both churches. Nick was a professional guitar player all his life. He played with many local Country and Western bands throughout the years. He was very compassionate and charitable. He was a friend to everyone! Nick is survived by one sister, Lynda Ford and her husband Terry of Laurel, MS, one granddaughter, Ashley Taylor of Plainview, TX, two great grandsons, Brandon and Braxton, four step children, James Baxter, Charlotte Baxter, Jolene Baxter and Sheila Sinclair and his life long companion and best friend, Evelyn Searl.
