Nancy Irene (Gomez) Martinez, 57, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 22, 2020. There was a private family graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Nancy was born Monday, July 9, 1962 to Cecilia (Valdez) and Vicente Gomez in Dalhart, Texas. She was raised in Dalhart alongside her eight siblings. She married Nick Martinez, Jr. and they raised four beautiful children. Nancy was the Head Teller at Dalhart Federal Savings and Loan for many years where she was loved and respected so very much. She had a great mind for numbers and could memorize any number at any time. Her friendly smile and kindness will be greatly missed. Nancy was not only a mother to her children she was a mother to all who walked in her door. She was the greatest cheerleader there ever was for her children and yours. She was a bold advocate for Jesus which was lived daily in her faith, love and compassion towards anyone she came in contact with. She was a friend to anyone and everyone and had many best friends. Nancy did not have a mean bone in her body she loved everyone, and you knew it. Nancy is survived by her husband, Nick Martinez, Jr., her daughter Jessica and husband Junior Fernandez and their children, Isaiah and Brianna Fernandez, her twin boys, Nick Martinez III and Dominic Martinez and her baby boy Noah Martinez. Cecilia Gomez her beautiful mother, her many brothers; Vince Gomez and wife Cher, Pat Gomez and wife Manuela, Phillip Gomez and husband Van Boughner, Alvin (Vino) Gomez and wife Suzzane and Mario Gomez and wife Destiny, her sister, Teresa Gomez, her brother in laws; Rusty Hammett and Coby Barrow, numerous nieces, nephews and countless family members and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father Vicente Gomez and two sisters: Christina Hammett and Rita Barrow.
