Nancy Ann Looby, 59 went to be with the Lord as his tears rained down on Dalhart at 4:30 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2006.Her services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Peoples Church with John Miller, Pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church officiating Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral HomeSurvivors include her husband Randy Looby, two sons Troy and Craig Moody , a daughter Charlene Whitehurst, all of Dalhart, Texas. Her step sons Justin Looby of Dalhart, Texas & Luke Looby, of Iowa and her step daughters: Jessica Looby, and Miranda Looby of Iowa. Numerous grand and great grandchildren Preceded in death by her parentsNancy Ann Knapp was born November 26, 1946 in Gloversville, NY to Jack & Alice (Thompson) Knapp, they both served in the U.S. Army and came to Dalhart when Nancy was a very small child. Nancy attended schools in Dalhart. Her and Randy Looby were married on June 15, 1996 at the Lutheran Church in Dalhart. She will be remembered by many as the Panhandle Transit driver she had driven for over 13yrs. She also worked at the movie theater for several years and also for Coronado feeders. And Smith Trucking. Nancy was an outdoor type and enjoyed her yard work and Gardening.. Family and friends will remember her as a people person who loved her job and would do anything for anybody, anytime!
