Myrtle Marie Steward Foshee, age 78, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016.Funeral service were held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Hillside Christian Church in Dalhart, TX. Officiating was by Robert Ledbetter, Campus Pastor of Hillside Christian Church. Burial did follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Marie was born on April 17, 1938 to Bill & Frances (French) Steward in Paris, Texas. The family lived in Paris until Maries early childhood when they moved to the Texas Panhandle area to Hereford, Texas. Marie married Bill Foshee on December 28, 1958 in Clovis, NM and they had 5 children together. Marie was 100% a mother who loved all her children and grandchildren. Marie worked as a cook for many years in Dalhart until she retired.Marie is survived by her children - Mary Wood and her husband, Allen Wood of Dalhart, Jerry Foshee and his wife, DeAnn Foshee of Elk City, OK, Terry Lee and her husband, Louise Lee of Dalhart, Larry Foshee and his wife, Audrie Foshee of McAlaster, OK, Gary Foshee and his wife, Crystal Foshee of Dalhart. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one brother Willie Steward and 3 sisters; Edna Schemers, Regina Frazier and Arliece Fowler.She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers- George Steward and Roy Steward.
