Monty was raised in Dalhart and was a member of Lincoln Street Baptist Church. He worked for Dalhart Butane and West Texas Gas and enjoyed music and hunting. Survivors include his daughters Savana Proffitt of Dalhart, TX, Tasha Youso of Dalhart, TX, Erica Shields of Dalhart, TX, Shasta Van Meter of McAdoo, TX . Son: Cameron Harrison of Twin Falls, Idaho. 9 Grandchildren.His mother Cora E. "Pat" Proffitt of Dalhart, TX - 3 Brothers: Kirk and his wife Lisa Proffitt of Dumas, TX, Barry Lee and his wife Mary Pat Proffitt of Amarillo, TX, and Tim "Baby" Proffitt and his wife Keile of Texline, TX. Preceded in death by his father.
