Minnie Merle Wilson, 81, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 in Dalhart, TexasServices were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiants were Rusty Hancock, Pastor, Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX and Bob McAlister, Retired Baptist Minister. Minnie Merle Johnson was born in Leonia, Florida on October 25, 1929 to T.T. and Jessie (Miller) Johnson. Merle married Bobby C. Wilson at her parents home in Geneva, Alabama on July 7 1951. Bob & Merle moved to Dalhart after his discharge from the Air Force in January 1952. She was a homemaker and active in Lincoln Street Baptist Church for many years. She & Bob raised their 4 children in Dalhart. Survivors include her husband Bob of the home, daughters Jessie Snodgrass and her husband Mike of Saginaw, TX, Sue Meyer and her husband Daniel of Dalhart, TX and son Keith Wilson and his wife Janet of Dalhart 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers Joe Frank Johnson of Geneva, AL and J.C. Johnson of Ozark, AL. and 2 sisters Arvella Blackmon of Abbeville, AL and Thelma Kirkland of Montgomery, AL and several nieces and nephews.
