Minnie was raised in Oklahoma Indian Territory and married Walter Reese Underdown on October 17, 1925 in Weleetka, OK. They moved to Texas in a covered wagon after they married. Minnie and Walter lived in Baily County before moving into Muleshoe in the early 70's. Mr. Underdown died in 1979. Minnie was an active member of the community and a member of the Muleshoe Primitive Baptist Church. At age 90 she decided to move to an extended care facility in Muleshoe then later she lived in Lubbock before coming to the Legacy Retirement Community in Dalhart in 2004.
