Mildred Mae McEvers, 93, died on Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Dalhart, TX.Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at First Christian Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas.Officiating was Barry Walker, Minister at First Christian Church, Dalhart, TX.Mildred Mae Hoffman was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1915, in Olmitz, Kansas to Rudy and Mary Hoffman. Mildred was the fourth of eight children. She and her family moved to the Rhem Community near Dalhart in 1928. On August 6, 1932 she and W. R. Bill McEvers were married at the First Christian Church in Boise City, Oklahoma. They made their home in Dalhart, Texas where they lived happily married for sixty-five years until Bills passing on April 27, 1998. Mildred was a member of First Christian Church and Missionary Guild. Her parents, husband, four bothers, Orvil, Herman, Melvin and Arthur Hoffman, two sisters, Sophia and Mary Ann Hoffman and a son-in-law Bill Bell preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Bell of Dalhart, TX - Two sons, Duane McEvers and wife Judy of Amarillo, TX - Larry McEvers and wife Alice of Dalhart, TX. A sister Juanita Whiteside of Gravette, AR - 10 Grandchildren, Beaver Bell, Vickie Raney, Jack Bell, Mitch Bell, James McEvers, Mike McEvers, Misti Dailing, Kim Kunreuther, David McEvers and Paula Meister - 26 Great-grandchildren and 13 Great-Great-grandchildren A niece Gayle Hoffman of Dalhart, TX and three nephews Rudy Whiteside, Leon Whiteside and Terry Whiteside all of Arkansas.
