Mildred Leona Johnson Fielding, 84, died October 1, 2015 in Dalhart, TXServices were held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm, at the Central United Methodist Church.Mildred Leona Johnson Fielding was born November 19, 1930, in Norton, Kansas to Rev. Elmer Johnson and Sarah Ann Whetstone Johnson. She had five sisters and two brothers. She married Percy Fielding in 1946 in Oswego, Kansas, and was married for 54 years until his death in 2000. They had one son, Michael Lynn, one daughter, Patricia Ann, and one adopted son, Aaron Lynn. Mildred was a housewife and bookkeeper in the early years, and was employed with Dillards and Loves. She was preceded in death by her husband Percy Fielding, her parents Elmer and Sarah Johnson, two brothers Joe and Bud, and four sisters Isola, Nell, Ruth, and Wilma. Mildred was very active in the Ladies Oriental Shrine and served as High Priestess in 1978 in El Paso, Tx. She was a member of the Petal Pushers Garden Club and Coon Memorial Auxiliary Pink Ladies in Dalhart, where she maintained the flowers in the court yard for the past several years. She also enjoyed bowling and watching her grandkids and great grandkids. Mildred was a member of the Church of the Brethren and attend Central United Methodist Church here in Dalhart. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Forry and her husband Farrell of Dalhart, Tx; her son Michael Fielding and his wife Diana of Huntsville, Tx; her son Aaron Fielding and his wife Anna of San Diego, Ca; grandchildren Kim Sorrels and husband Cole; Carey Starks and husband DJ; Todd Forry; Arianna Patterson, Tristen Fielding; and Adrian Fielding; great grandchildren Ashlee Parker and husband Drew; Katelyn and Makenzy Starks; Kullen and Taeler Sorrels; Cale, Canton, and Cash Forry; sister Gladys Tautfest and husband Howard; special niece Betty Sellman; and brother-in-law Wayne Hamilton. She loved all of her family very much and will be missed greatly. Family suggests memorials can be made to CUMC Building Fund or Petal Pushers Garden Club.
