Raef, Pastor - St. Anthonys Catholic Church Dalhart, Texas Burial followed in Memorial Park CemeteryMitchell William Skrobrak was born in Detroit, Michigan to Emory and Mary (Wesley) Skrobrak on September 19, 1915. As he was growing up he became a professional caddy, sponsored by the Country Club Pro and Caddy Master - he played the saxophone in the big band era, but later changed to the guitar. Mike married Carthea Sandy Schultz on April 22, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa. A day later Mike was on his way to Fort Hamilton, NY and was deployed overseas. Mike was injured and sent back to the states after his medical and honorary discharge in 1943 he began working for the Department of Defense as an aircraft marketing specialist and after a total of 33 years of government service he retired on April 22, 1970. During his career travels, Mike passed through Dalhart many times and in 1989 he and his wife moved to Dalhart from Roswell, NM.
