Miguel Angel Macias, 34 of Dalhart, passed away on September 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 6:00PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Horizon Funeral Home with Pastor Chuy, Primera Iglesia Bautista of Dumas, officiating. Miguel will lay in state from 12-6:00PM on Sunday, 10-8:00PM on Monday, and 10-4:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Miguel was born on July 29, 1989 to Manuel Cancino and Maria De La Luz Macias in Dalhart. He spent most of his life in Dalhart and earned his GED. Miguel was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and tattooing. He valued the time he spent hanging out with his friends and listening to music. Miguel had a huge heart and would give you his shirt off his back if you needed it; even if it was all he had left. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs. Miguel was a loving husband, remarkable son, amazing brother and the best uncle who cherished the memories he made with his nieces and nephews. Miguel was very free spirited and he loved his large blue coconut slush with nerds from sonic he always followed his heart no matter what people said. Miguel was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his husband: Gabriel Salinas. Miguel is survived by his parents: Maria Macias and Manuel Cancino; brothers: Juan Macias, Gilbert Macias, Jose Macias, Manuel Cancino and Adam Cancino; sisters: Frances Macias and Cassie Cancino; 16 nieces and nephews; and 1 god-daughter.
