Michael Lee Yocum, 60, dies Tuesday June 4, 2014 in Dalhart, Texas.Memorial Services Pending.Michael Lee Yocum was born April 27, 1954 in Plainview, TX to Harry Junior and Zoe Evelyn (Furr) Yocum. Micheal was a Vietnam War Veteran, retired police officer of Everman, TX. He worked three United Nations missions in Bosnia, Kosovo and Liberia, training nationals to be police officers for their country. He married Della Smith on May 1, 2002 in Atwater, CA. Michael worked for Hilmar Cheese in California and was transferred to Dalhart in 2012. Michael will be dearly missed by all.Survived by his wife Della Yocum of Dalhart,TX, Sons- Justin Yocum of Dallas/ Ft. Worth, TX, Jason Yocum of Redwood City, CA. Stepson- Steven Cardek of Atlanta, GA. Five Brothers- Allen Smith, Harry Yocum, Doug Yocum, and Brad Smith of Modesto, CA and Condrad (Bud) Smith of Lebanon, OR.
