Michael Patrick Stone, 54, formerly of Dalhart, Texas died Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Lamar, Colorado. Memorial Services were held held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Dalhart. Michael was born August 26th, 1959 in Dalhart to Jerry and Marcella Stone. He graduated from Felt High School in 1976. He worked for Simco Pumps in Lamar.Michael formerly worked for a jeweler, was a volunteer firefighter, a contractor, and was well skilled in farming and ranching. He loved to make people laugh and help out people in need. Michael touched many lives with his generous and kind heart.Preceding him in death are his mother, Marcella Stone, his brother Brian Stone, and his wife Cheryl Stone.Survivors include: parents Jerry and Theresa Stone; daughters, Tacy Kay Gamel and husband, Jonathan, and Kelley Stone; sons Jerry Glenn Stone and wife, Dreama, Michael Patrick Stone, Jr. and wife, Amy; brothers Joel Stone, James Stone and wife, Tammy.The loves of his life were his 10 grandchildren: Zachary Stone, Jerry William Stone, Brhiana Stone, Johnathan Patrick Stone, Glenn Cleveland Stone, Michael Patrick Stone III, Seth Everett Stone, Brian Lee Stone, Sora Kay Gamel, and Haese Stone Gamel. Michael also leaves many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
