Melissa "Missy" Ann Rojas, 56 of Dalhart, went to live her eternal resting place with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2022. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church with Brother Ty Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Rojas will lay in state from 1-8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Melissa was born on February 24, 1965 to Marcelino and Eva in Dalhart, TX. Missy was a faithful member at Lincoln Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed scrapbooking, decorating for all seasons and holidays, listening to music, cooking and helping others in need, going to church and reading her bible, shopping and spoiling her grandkids. Some may remember her as the funnel cake lady during XIT. To her friends and family, she was the guardian, protector, giver, and the person everyone went to for advice. Missy was known by many and is going to be dearly missed. Missy is survived by her mother: Eva Rojas; daughters: Erica Favela, Liana Gonzalez, Analisse Velarde and husband Jose; brother: Domingo Rojas; sister: Virginia Wheeler and husband Richard; 7 grandkids: Kyiara, Mason, Elisaeo, Eain, Amerily, Sofia and Aiden all of Dalhart. She is preceded in death by her father: Marcelino Rojas; brothers: Tony, Pablo, and Mike Rojas; sister: Frances Fuentes and nephew: DJ Rojas.
