Mary Pat Bowers, 92, died Monday, May 15, 2017 in Dalhart, Texas. Prayer Vigil - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass - 10:00 am on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Mary Patricia James Bowers was born May 17, 1924 in Dalhart, Texas to Andy and Loretta (Stack) James. Mary Pat grew up on the Andy James Ranch North of Dalhart. She met her husband Don Bowers at his dad's pharmacy and they were married August 7, 1947. Together they were blessed with eleven children. Mary Pat was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmommy. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to Las Vegas with Don, cooking and gardening. She was very active in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, School and Community. Survivors include her children Don and wife Gwen Bowers of Dalhart, Karen and husband Ray Simpson of Fort Worth, Mary Lynn and husband Joe Ellis of Iowa Park, Trish and husband Mark Miller of Dalhart, Stack and wife Sharri Bowers of Fort Worth, Cole and Wife Sammi Kaye Bowers of South Padre Island, Adam and wife Amy Bowers of Dalhart, and daughter-in-law Lynne Bowers of Dalhart. Grandchildren Chip and wife Audri Bowers, Jarret and wife Jennifer Bowers, Nicole Bowers, Barrett and Colton Bowers, Emily and Kelly Simpson, Claire Miller, Hunter and Dalton Bowers, Braxton and Addison Bowers, Adrienne and Kevin Hamblin, Alexa and Preston Hart, Michael, Brian and Jordan Baker, and Taeler and Michael Wilkes. 15 Great Grandchildren. A brother Father Joseph James and a sister Noreen Witten. The family wants to thank Amelia Sifuentes for all her love and care. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
