Mary E. Ledbetter, 94, went to be with her Lord on May 26, 2009, in Amarillo, TXWe celebrated Mary's life at 2:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.Rusty Hancock, Pastor Lincoln Street Baptist Church and Clifford Dane Retired Minister Dalhart, TX officiated.Mary was born April 27, 1915, to Russell and Zorah (Rapier) Lewis at Sedan, New Mexico. She was graduated from Channing High School in 1933, and that same year, married her high school sweetheart, Cleo Ledbetter. It was a love story that would last until Cleos death in 2004, almost seventy years. Since 1952 they had lived in or near Dalhart. For the past six months, she had lived at the Continental in Amarillo. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dalhart, where she was, for a number of years a Sunday School teacher. Mary is survived by a daughter, Ruby Depuy, of Amarillo; a son, Clyde Ledbetter and his wife Kathy of Amarillo; a son, Robert Ledbetter and his wife Barbara, of Dalhart; and a sister, Grace Lyles of Dalhart, as well as eight grandchildren; Charlotte Evans and her husband, Billy of Monte Vista, CO; Curtis Depuy, of Cornelius, NC; Tina Walser and her husband Robert, of Waxahachie, TX; Tamra Ramirez and her husband Juan, of Amarillo,; Sarah Ledbetter and Rachel Ledbetter of Amarillo: Matthew Ledbetter and his fianc, Jamie, of Dalhart; and Caleb Ledbetter of Dalhart; five great-grandchildren: John and Jacob Walser, Christi and Zachary Ramirez and Brandon Ledbetter.
