Mary Bell Clements, age 93, passed away January 24, 2016 at Madison Medical Resort in Odessa, TX. Services were held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Dalhart Church of Christ with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery Mary Bell was born September 06, 1922 in Wagon Mound, NM as the sixth child of Albert Richard McCown and Lucy Clara Smith. Mary Bells family moved to Dalhart, Texas in the late 1930s. Mary Bell graduated from Dalhart High School in 1940. She married Walter (Pete) Clements, Jr. on January 09, 1943 in Monahans, Texas. Mary Bell and Pete bought a place west of Dalhart in the early 50s. Mary Bell did the bookkeeping for Petes welding shop C& S Welding. Mary Bell continued to live on the place after Pete passed away until 2006 when a lightning storm burned the house to the ground. Mary Bell moved to an apartment in Odessa, Texas to be near her son, Bob. After a recent fall, Mary Bell had moved to Madison Medical Resort. Mary Bell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, three sisters, eight brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law.Mary Bell is survived by a son, Bob Clements and wife Melinda of Odessa, TX, daughter, Judy McCloy and husband Doug of Fort Sumner, NM, and a son, Roy Clements and wife Tricia of Horseshoe Bay, TX, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister-in-law Jenny Cantrell of Dalhart.The family prefers contributions in Mary Bells memory to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
