Martha L. (Whiteaker) Clark, 73, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Lewisville, Texas. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas with Terry Stegall officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas.
Martha Whiteaker Clark was born Sunday, December 2, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas to Margaret (Beck) and Robert (Bob) Whiteaker. Martha spent her childhood growing up in Amarillo, the Whiteaker Ranch and in Dalhart and loved spending time at the family ranch with her cousins, the Castleberrys, Bagots and Becks. Martha graduated from Dalhart High School in 1967 and then attended TCU and Texas Tech, before marrying Red Parker, with whom they shared 3 children, Travis, Brandon and Monica. Martha worked as a bookeeper at Amarillo National Bank for several years before moving to Pampa where she worked as a data entry clerk and in circulation with The Pampa News. She also worked at The Personal Touch and as the office manager at Culligan Water Conditioning for over 15 years and then retired. Martha was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and best buddy, her sister Debbie, water skiing or camping and fishing in Colorado. Martha spent the last 7 years in Flower Mound, Texas in assisted living and was most remembered by the staff and residents for her smile, humor and selfless care that she gave them.
Martha is survived by two sons: Travis Parker and husband Cesar Miranda of Flower Mound, TX, and Brandon Parker and wife Karen of Abilene, TX, a daughter, Monica Stuchlik and husband A.J. of Parker, CO, 7 grandchildren: Jonathan Parker, Arial Parker, Garren Randall, Grason Randall, Tristan Stuchlik, Bekkah Golden and husband Charles and Brittany Tidwell, a brother, Pat Whiteaker of Lubbock, TX, two nieces: Hillary Whiteaker, LaRissa Whiteaker and one nephew, Brian Whiteaker.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Michael Whiteaker and sister, Debbie Horn.
