December 5, 1976-December 20, 2020 Mark MaLloyd Matthews, 44, was born on December 5, 1976 in Aurora, Co to Theresa Matthews. Mark graduated from Hartley, Tx in 1996. He met his wife, Shannon in 1999. They married in May of 2003 and had two children Madylin,15, and Oliver, 9. Mark and Shannon moved to Claude, Tx in 2012 where they still lived. Mark was a member of the Lifeway Fellowship Church in Amarillo, Tx. Mark retired from TDCJ in September of 2020 after 10 years of service. Mark left to run the family farm. Mark enjoyed watching Oliver play football and basketball and Madylin in cheerleading and playing basketball. Mark said this was the most joyous time for him. He enjoyed working on his goat farm and spending time with his wife. Mark loved to go fishing and camping with his family. Mark loved spending time with the Lord by reading his bible and praying. Mark was preceded in death by Grandmother, Belva Scroggins, Grandfather, John L. Scroggins, and cousin B'anna Scroggins. Survivors include wife, Shannon Matthews, children, Madylin and Oliver Matthews, mother, Theresa Matthews, sister, Jetina Matthews, uncle, Randy Scroggins, aunt, Barbara Wade, and many cousins.
