Mark L. Leaton, 56, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK.A Memorial service was held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Hillside Christian Church, 409 Denrock,Dalhart TX.Mark L Leaton was born on September 13, 1959 in Midland, TX to Brownlow Leaton and Sylvia Foss. Mark grew up in the Eastern Oklahoma and North Texas area. He later moved to EL Paso, TX where he graduated from Coronado High School. HE attended West Texas University on a tennis scholarship.Mark made Dalhart his home 36 years ago. He raised his daughters here and made many lifelong friends. He was currently working as a truck driver for H&H Farms.Mark is preceded in death by his parents, guardians William and Eva Howard, and brother John Leaton.Survivors include his daughters: Shandi Leaton of Dalhart, TX, Lynsi Leaton of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Michela Leaton, Dalhart, TX and Mattie Leaton, Dalhart, TX. Sisters include: Kaye Loop of Crystal Beach, TX, Carolyn Watson of Centerville, TX, Melani Leaton of Dalhart, TX, and Andrea Silver of Santa Monica, CA .Brothers include: Brownlow Leaton Jr. of Pensacola, FL, David Leaton of Nocona, TX, Alan Leaton of Fairfield, CA and Danny Johnson of Santa Monica, CA .He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
