Marjorie McCleskey, 97, died on Monday, July 14, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas.Graveside Services were held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Dalhart, TX, under the direction of Horizon Funeral HomeMarjorie Evelyn Scofield was born September 4, 1910 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Carl J. and Maude (Nolan) Scofield. Marjorie grew up in the Texas Panhandle and on September 18, 1927 she married J. Francis McCleskey. She was a charter member of Lakeview United Methodist Church, a Den mother for the Boys Scouts of America and an excellent homemaker, mother, grandmother and Great-grandmother. Survivors include her son Joseph F. McCleskey and his wife Mary of Dalhart, TX and her daughter, Mary Crawford of Dalhart, TX 4 grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren - Preceded in death by her daughter, her parents, 1 brother, and 4 sisters.
