Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Rodriguez, 68, of Dalhart, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2026.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. at Dalhart Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited immediately following. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Father Anthony Neusch officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Lupita was born on December 12, 1957, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Jose Rodriguez and Isabel Reyes. She was a devoted homemaker who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, dancing, and listening to music—often filling her home with warmth, rhythm, and the kind of laughter that lingers long after the moment has passed.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Janie Moreno of Dalhart, and Margarita Hernandez and husband Francisco of Albuquerque, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Lupita was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Rodriguez and Isabel Reyes, and her siblings, Jose Angel Rodriguez, Maurillo Rodriguez, Frank Rodriguez, Stella Leyva, Martina Moreno, and Carmen Ruiz.

Her life was a quiet but steady thread of love, woven through family, faith, and the everyday moments that matter most. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
