Margaret Elene Harbert, 100, passed away Jan. 5, 2023, at Coon Memorial Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Jan. 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Margaret was born to Lonie Belle and Joe Lee Williams, Sr. on April 2, 1922. She grew up in Dalhart and became a beautician, owning her own shops in Texas and Arkansas. She was married to Thomas Harbert, Sr. and they lived on a ranch near Dumas. Margaret loved to travel and visited countries all around the world. She went on cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, and visited many European countries, as well as China, Russia; and she even went down the Amazon nver. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Bill and Bobby Williams, Glenn McAlister, and her sister, Deloris Jean Williams. Margaret is survived by her brother, Joe Lee Williams, Jr. and his wife, Darleen, of Kingman, AZ., sisters-in-law Petra Williams of Dalhart and Brenda Williams of Winter Park, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.
