Lynn Thelander, 68, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Amarillo, TXFuneral Services were held on Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church with Brian Walton, Associate Pastor officiating. Burial did follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Lynn Charles Thelander was born March 21, 1948 in Orchard, NE to Keith and Emma (Anson) Thelander. Raised in Orchard he graduated from Orchard High School in 1966. Lynn married Sharon Stelling on November 20, 1966. Mr. Thelander served in the National Guard and worked in the family business before moving to Dalhart in 1985. He and Sharon ran the Denver Exxon for many years. Lynn loved hunting and being outdoors, his family and his grandchildren. Lynn is survived by his wife Sharon of Dalhart, TX a daughter Linette Pope, 2 sons Mike and his wife Kristi Thelander and Doug Thelander of Dalhart, TX. 6 grandchildren Kourtney and her husband Grant Sacco of Las Vegas, NV, Devin Shirar, Kourtney Thelander, Justice Thelander, Avry Thelander and Emily Thelander all of Dalhart, TX. And a brother Fred and his wife Connie Thelander of Clayton, NM and a sister Rita and her husband, Monte Shabram of Orchard, NE.
