Luis Angel Orrantia, 33, was called home Sunday, November 11, 2018 near Dalhart, TX. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Central United Methodist Church, Dalhart, TX under the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Luis was born in Phoenix, AZ on October 24, 1985. He grew up in Burlington, CO where he was a great student and loved participating in the band at school. Luis loved the cowboy life, horses, cattle and farming. Most of his life he lived in Dalhart, TX surrounded by people who loved and cared for him. He was a very hard working and responsible person. Luis was an amazing gentleman. He was the best friend you could ever ask for. He was dedicated to his job and would have given his life for the animals he so deeply loved caring for. Luis lived his final days very happy in Dalhart, TX surrounded by amazing and caring people. Luis was the greatest son, brother, friend and employee you could ever ask for. His death was unexpected and heartbreaking, but he will forever be in our hearts. As a Christian, Luis would read his bible daily, he loved to spend time in the word of his Lord. Luis is survived by his parents Hector & Patricia (Ruiz) Orrantia and many other family members and friends.
