Lucia Romero, 84, of Dalhart, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 20, 2021, with her children by her side. A Memorial Service was scheduled for 11 o clock in the morning on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Dalhart Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rick Calvert officiating. Lucia was born on July 5, 1936, in Corpus Christi, TX. She worked 35 years for CMH as a CNA. After retiring, Lucia split her time living with each of her children, loving on her grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. Lucia was a perfect example of how a good person should be. She was a special presence in our lives and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband: Frank Romero; mother: Virginia Rojas; sister: Mary Rojas; and two brothers: Pancho and Santos Rojas. Lucia is survived by her daughters: Virginia Brown, Theresa Garza and husband Raul all of Dalhart, Sylvia DeMott and husband Steve of Rochester, NY, Cindy Romero of Rochester, NY; one son: Michael Foster and wife Ruth of Dyersburg, TN; sister-in-law: Clara Rojas; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry best buddy: Oliver.
