Linda Kay Bell was born on February 12, 1946, to TC Allen and Evelyn Allen in Vernon Texas. Linda passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on December 5, 2020. Linda was raised and attended school in Vernon, Texas where she graduated from Vernon High School. She met her spouse Tim, in 1969. They were married on April 10, 1970 in Vernon, Texas. Out of this marriage came two children, their daughter Melinda and son Tim Jr. In April 2020, Tim and Linda celebrated 50 years of marriage. Tim and Linda moved to Dalhart in July 1972. Linda started her career working for First National Bank and Farm Bureau. Linda went on to work for Hartley County Tax Accessor office where she retired after twenty-nine years of service. Lindas office was always open to anyone who needed help. Linda was known for always greeting everyone with a smile on her face. She loved to help people and was known for being a people person. She would go above and beyond for people. Not only was Linda a loving mother but she loved people and loved helping others. Linda had a true servant heart. Linda was always involved in the activities of her children. She helped start the little league baseball fields. She along with her family ran the concession stand and took care of the baseball fields. Linda spent years taking part in the Lincoln Street Baptist Church feed the children. Being a part of her community and serving in any kind of capacity to help was important to her. Linda had a strong faith in the Lord and believed all things were possible through him. Linda is survived by her spouse Tim Bell, Dalhart Texas. Daughter, Melinda Johnson and husband David, Bartlesville Oklahoma. Son, Tim Bell Jr. Dalhart Texas. Grandsons: Curtis Dunham, Howard Lake, Minnesota and Brad Dunham, Biscay, Minnesota. Aunt Carolyn Ingle and husband Benny, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Linda is preceded in death by TC Allen, father, Evelyn Trent, mother, Haley F Trent, stepfather and Tony Allen, brother. A celebration of life for Linda was at First Baptist Church, Dalhart, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made in Lindas name to Lincoln Street Baptist Food Pantry, Cowboy Church, or Twilight Trail Fund.
