A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 09, 2020 at 9:45 AM and Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church in Dalhart, Texas. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Melissa was born February 24, 1972 in Abernathy, Texas to Louis and Martina Moreno. Words cannot express the pain that our hearts feel for the departure of our beloved mother. Melissa had a great sense of humor and liked to joke around, as it was in her nature to form long lasting friendships throughout the years. Melissa enjoyed being around her family and had a joyous spirit. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren dearly. Alongside enjoying cooking, Melissa also loved to go to the horse races with her boyfriend and enjoyed going to dances. Melissa never gave up and is well known to be a brave warrior. She will be greatly missed and her memory will live in our hearts forever ! " We will miss you more than words will express; We love you Mom!" Melissa leaves behind 4 children; (son) Delfino Avila & wife Gina Ann Avila of Belton, Texas, (daughter) Selina Adriana Moreno of Dalhart, Texas, (daughter) Keisha Nohely Bloemker and husband Christian Wesley Bloemker of Dalhart, Texas, and (daughter) Xochil Isabel Moreno of Dalhart, Texas. Two lovely grandchildren; Andres Luciano Avila and Chris Adonis Bloemker. Melissa also leaves behind her boyfriend Jose Anchondo of Dalhart, Texas.
