Weldon Lesley Smith was born on November 3, 1965 to Weldon "Sonny" & Emma Lee Smith in Dalhart, TXMemorial Services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Texline United Methodist Church with Jeff Bayley officiating.Les was raised on his parents farm/ranch in the Coldwater Community. He attended Texline School and graduated in 1984. Les loved working on the farm, driving tractor, and working cattle. He also liked to hunt, fish and collect guns. He moved to Texline in 1992 and went to work for Schmidt Feedlot in New Mexico. He worked for them for 10 years until it closed. Les then bought and raised his own cattle.Les married Debbie Henderson on April 24th, 1998. They lived in Texline and raised their children Tabitha and Timothy.Les was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Danny Smith, and his grandparents.He is survived by his Son Timothy Smith of Texline, His Step-Daughter Tabitha Henderson of Texline, two Grandchildren Joseph and Starr Guerra of Texline, His sisters Stephanie Finley of Dalhart, Carrie Usher of Dalhart, Lisa Thompson of Whitewright and many nieces of nephews.
