Leroy "Bud" Moomaw , 78, died Monday, May 20, 2013 in Amarillo, TexasGraveside Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, Texas.He is survived by his Stepmother: Melba Moomaw of Dalhart, TX Sisters: Frances Hanna and her husband David of Lewisville, TX,and Diana MacKenzie of Morris, Manitoba, Canada Sister-in-law: Ella Mae Moomaw of Dalhart, TX. Nephews: Bryan and his wife Patti Smalley of Dalhart, TX, Gary Moomaw, David Hanna,and Duncan Mackenzie - Nieces: Jackie Rozeman, Tammie Frische, Terri Cartwright and Vivian MacKenzie.Preceded in death by his Mother, Vivian; Father, Robert; Brother, Gene and Sister Faye SmalleyLeroy "Bud" Moomaw was born November 24, 1934 in Dalhart, TX to Robert and Vivian (Dappert) Moomaw. Bud grew up in Dalhart, TX and lived there his entire life. He worked for his dad, Robert at Dalhart Transfer and Storage and Moomaw Furniture Exchange until he retired. He loved antiques and a rare find. He seemed to always get first dibs on what came into the store. Bud may not of enjoyed going to school, but, he did enjoy reading.
