Myrel Leon Laney, 77 years, 1 month and 19 days old, passed away on October 20, 2020 at his home with family by his side. Graveside services for Leon were Friday, October 23, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TX. Leon was born Wednesday, September 1, 1943 in Dalhart, Texas to Sylvan Myrel and Doris Virginia (Brown) Laney. Leon was a Pastor for 42 years, after retiring and moving to Ava, Missouri he attended the Cold Creek Cowboy church, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Leon and Judy (Merwin) Laney were united in marriage January 25, 1994 in Dalhart, TX. Leon enjoyed restoring street rods, he loved his church and church family, and being with his children, grandchildren and family. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Alena Swartz. Leon is survived by his wife Judy, his children, Randal and Stephanie, Billy Ray and Joy, Tommy Eugene and Kim, Gianna and John, and Lacey. Grand children John Randal, Audrey Nicole, Katlynn, Kyle, Kylie, Zack, Kinsley, Kennedy, Molly and Alex.
