Larry Dee Ames, 49, died Friday, August 18, 2006 in Dalhart, TexasServices were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at First Baptist Church Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Officiating at the services was Rodney Weatherly, Pastor First Baptist Church, Dalhart, TexasLarry Dee Ames was born June 29, 1957 in Dalhart, Texas to Tommy & LaNita (Stone) Ames. Larry was raised in Dalhart and attended schools in Dalhart and Felt, Oklahoma. He graduated from Felt High school in 1976. A Carpenter by trade, he and his twin brother, Garry, worked together for years in the construction business. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and the mountains. He is survived by his Mother: LaNita Ames of Dalhart, Texas a son: Justin Ames of Sterling, Colorado. 2 Daughters: Kori Dawn and her husband Dennis Weikle of Dallas, Texas and Brittney Nichole Ames of Amarillo, Texas 1 Granddaughter: Kayla of Amarillo, Texas - 3 brothers: Tommy Lee & his wife Suzanne Ames of Pottsville, Arkansas , Dean and his wife Gay Ames of Dalhart, Texas and Garry Lee Ames of Dalhart, Texas and numerous aunts and uncles including Jerry and Theresa Stone of Dalhart, Texas.Preceded in death by his fatherMEMORIALS; IN LIEU OF FLOWERS- YOUR FAVORITE CHARITY
