Kurt Richard Winings, 51, of Dalhart, TX, went to be with Jesus, Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at Coon Memorial Hospital, Dalhart, TX. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, 2:00 pm, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Kurt was born September 26th, 1969 in Atkinson, NE to Dick Winings and Mary Jo Gant Winings. The family relocated to Dalhart in 1972. Kurt graduated from Dalhart High School in 1988. After graduating, he attended and completed the Orlando Golf Pro Academy. He then went onto continue his career with Carnival Cruise Lines. Kurt returned home to pursue his passion for golf as the Dalhart Country Club golf Pro. Kurt left this world as a self-made entrepreneur. Kurt will forever be remembered for his infectious laugh, crazy dance moves, and his selfless daily acts of kindness. Kurt lived life to the fullest and never hesitated to help those in need. He never met a stranger and loved all that loved him. Kurt was a devoted father that never failed to be the biggest cheerleader to his two boys Talon and Tate. He cherished attending all his boys sporting events and celebrating their accomplishments. In addition to that, he treated all of his nieces and nephews like they were his own, he never missed a beat to support all of their endeavors and being there along the way. Through all of his chaotic energy, Kurt was a living, breathing sign to love your family, love everyone around you, and to live everyday like its your last. Survivors include: His parents; Dick and Mary Jo Winings, His children; Talon and Tate Winings, His significant other; Jessica Austin, A sister; Kiley Winings Grimsley and husband Kyle Grimsley, A brother; Khris Winings and wife Brooke Winings, Grandmother; Jean Ford, niece and nephews; Kyler Winings, Kade Winings, Emmi-Claire Winings, Kash Grimsley, and Kross Grimsley. Kurt is preceded in death by his uncle Todd Gant, his aunt Judy Gant Newcomer, His grandparents; James Raymond Gant, Bob Ford, Ernest and Arlene Winings and good friend Drew Bowers.
