Kurt Presley, 68, died Friday, March 18, 2016 in Amarillo, TexasA Prayer Vigil was held at 5:00 PM Sunday, March 20, 2016 at St. Anns Catholic Church, Canyon, TX with Father Robert A. Busch officiating.Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Dalhart, Texas. Officiating will be Monsignor Michael Colwell, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.Burial was in Dalhart's Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Kurt Eugene Presley was born December 20, 1947 in Amarillo, TX to Oris and Mercedes (Becker) Presley. He was raised in Dalhart, TX, a 1965 DHS graduate he then attended and graduated from Sul Ross University in 1971 w a degree in Agriculture and Animal Science and Panhandle State University in 1987 w a degree in Accounting. On February 4, 1972 he married Jeaneal Myers in Durant, OK.Kurt enjoyed Farming up until his retirement in 2012. In his spare time he loved motorcycle riding on his BMW. Kurt and Jeaneal went to Europe and he successfully climbed the Matterhorn in Switzerland. They enjoyed backpacking throughout the different countries. He and Mercie climbed Pikes Peak and Mr. Grays in Colorado plus he climbed numerous other fourteeners. Kurt loved being with Jeaneal and them riding horses together plus all of the crazy barrel races! He treasured his time with family especially those Sunday dinners at Grandmas. Kurt had a strong passion for his Catholic faith, truly enjoyed going to mass, supporting his parishes and being actively involved in the Knights of Columbus.Kurt loved to remind everyone to EAT Healthy, Workout and Live Life!
