Kenny Richards, 58 of Dalhart, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church with Brother Ty Hancock officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Kenny was born on December 12, 1963 to Walter and Delores Richards in Phoenix, AZ. He was a hard-working truck driver who loved and cherished his family very much. If he wasnt on the truck he was with his family. In the summer the kids would take turns taking trips with him. He would often say to his family, "Its us four against the world." Kenny was the kind of guy that would tell you whats on his mind and would always keep you laughing. He was just an old school type of person; great friend; all about America and above all, a man of God. Kennys faith was as big as the open road he drove on. He was a member of Lincoln Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother: Delores Crutchfield; one brother: Carl "Flash" Gartrell and mother-in-law: Sharon Ritch. Kenny is survived by his wife: Sherry of the home; children: Miranda Esmaiel of Casper, WY, Ashley Rex of Douglas, WY, Shelby Adams of Fort Morgan, CO, Kay Richards and Kenny Richards, Jr. both of Dalhart; two brothers: Darin Richards and wife Karen of Johnstown, CO and David Gerwick of Eau Clair, PA; one sister: Vernie Chapman and husband Terry of Greeley, CO; and two grandchildren.
