Kenneth R. Stanley died Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Dalhart, Texas Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Lakeview United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Strebeck, Pastor - burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX.Kenneth R. Stanley was born July 19, 1921 in Renown, Saskatchewan, Canada to Ralph and Lela (Snyder) Stanley, they moved to California in 1925 and later to the Texas Panhandle to Farm and Ranch.Kenneth graduated from Dumas High School in 1939. On July 31, 1943 he married Norma Payne in Dalhart, TX, she died in 2014. Kenneth farmed and ranched in the Panhandle his entire life and was active in his church, serving as trustee for many years. He also served on many boards including the Soil Conservation Board, XIT Co-op and Rita Blanca Electric Co-op. Survivors include his daughters: Janelle Michael and husband Andy of Channing, TX, DLisa Turner and husband Scott of Annandale, VA, grandsons: Ranger Turner of Annandale, VA, and Justin Condra of Austin, TX. A granddaughter Nikki Turner of Annandale, VA and a sister Doreen Zumwalt of Dalhart, TX.Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife Norma, two sons: Richard Glen Stanley and Bobby Dwayne Stanley as well as two sisters Cecil Chennault and Gladys Bearden.Scripture says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children; He left a bountiful inheritance of everything good: perseverance, honor, character, joy, love, provision, respect in his community, and training to navigate our futures. For all of this we have a heart full of gratitude.
